A LIVE AND TOURING PROJECT

Toni Rumbau began Routes of Polichinela in 2010 as a study, travel and writing project about the relationship between puppets and cities. Taking Europe as a starting point, the project will culminate with the publication of a book translated into several languages and an exhibition organized in collaboration with the puppet museum TOPIC of Tolosa. Routes of Polichinela has already received support from several institutions, museums, festivals and personalities from the world of puppets from all over Europe, the Mediterranean area and Japan. This support is highly valued by the author, as being of great importance for the development of the project.

Agenda

- from 19th of July to 18th of August 2011, travel in Japan. Performances in Okinawa, Osaka, Nagoya, Tokio, Nagano, Chiba, at the Puk Theatre in Tokio and in Hokkaido Sapporo.
- from 3th to 12th of June 2011, performances in Syria (Damascus and Aleppo)
- from 18th to 31st of June, tour in Lebanon (Beirut and other locations)
- from 9th to 16th of May, participation at the International Puppet Festival of the city.
- from 5th to 8th of May 2011, performances at the Festival El Rinconcillo de Cristobica, in Valderrubia (Granada)
